11th November 2013

We have had two big snowfalls over the weekend, totalling 45cm. The snow base at Gornergrat is 80cm, which is really deep for this time of year. The snow canons are making snow every day on top of this, because artificial snow is more compact and longer-lasting. It is this combination of abundant natural snow and extensive snow-making which gives Zermatt such long ski seasons.
