“Families are Welcome”. Since 2013, Zermatt has been awarded by the Swiss Tourism Associations this Seal of Quality, for holidays with children. Zermatt is a great resort for families and there are a number of different options to choose from when it comes to child care and skiing for kids, all of which we would be very glad to arrange for you. Because Zermatt is car-free, the streets are much safer than in most other resorts, and the abundance of small electric taxis, which can be summoned by phone, makes getting around the village and to the various base lift stations a breeze, even with toddlers.
In addition to skiing, snowboarding and tobogganing on the slopes, there are many activities in resort such as ice-skating, outdoor playing areas, bicycle ramp, skate park, hockey, indoor climbing, swimming, a tree-top fun park and a cinema that shows a lot of films for children.
We can also arrange for baby-sitting in the evenings, and day nannies too. Please let us know if you require this service in advance.
In Zermatt children up to age nine receive a club card, The Wolli Card, which is valid for one year from the beginning of November to the end of October. With a Wolli Card, children travel free on all of the mountain lifts and are the invited guests at all of the Wolli events.
