Three Reasons Why The Best Time To Go Skiing Is Now
The school holidays are now over and the pistes are much less busy even though the snow is at its best. The freeride Stockhorn - Triftji area is now open, and still has fresh powder. Heliskiing has also started, we did the Tete de Valpelline itinerary today in superb conditions.
No need to go off-piste with a guide. Zermatt is one of the very few resorts where you can take a helicopter to reach the top slopes - either Testa Grigia or Rothorn - where you are set down next to the groomed ski runs. So much more convenient than shuffling public transport! And if you take the scenic flight around the summit of the Matterhorn, it's an absolutely spectacular experience. From 120 Chf per person.
