Night Life

Zermatt's Night-life

The great night-life is part of being a world-class resort!

Aprs-ski: there are just two places to be from 5pm onwards: First at the Hennustall, at the foot of run back to the village from Furi and later at the Papperla Pub (just across the bridge from the church square) - Hennustal has a live band on most days, as well as a DJ and a generous array of dangerous shots and other concoctions: try their Vodka Feige for example - Hennustall offers a unique atmosphere with very friendly staff and management.

Recently however, close to the Sunnega Express, the Snow-Boat has also emerged as prime apreski venue, with live music and exciting cocktails as well as late night house and techno DJ sessions.

Olympia remains a good location for on-slope entertainment on the Sunnega side, along with the Champagne Bar just above it and the new Cervo Bar just beneath it.

The Papperla, back in the village, is a heaving and exciting aprs-ski bar with a great feel managed by fun-but-dangerous bar staff... Stu and Pocket in the out-door bar will ply you with Malaka (huh?) while the girls inside will do the rest! Much needed food is also available before you move on to the bar's trendy nightclub, the "Schneewitschen" for Hugh's lethal cocktails at "Hughie's bar"upstairs and great tunes. Try these out - but don't say we didn't warn you!

Night-life round-up: Zermatt's night-scene offers a world of variety ranging from the thriving Schneewitschen club (trendy and happening with excellent cocktails) to the eclectic collection of bars and clubs of the legendary hotel post (such as the stylish Papa Caesar's, the Pink live music bar or the infamous Broken discotheque) or to other institutions such as the North Wall bar (the seasonaire's hang -out), the Pipe (the ultimate surfer's cantina and bar), The Heimberg (a tendy wine bar and cosy restaurant) the Pollux T-bar night club, the Vernissage (stylish cinema, bar night-club and art gallery) or the over-decorated but curiously fanciful Hotel Alex's dancing.

Earlier in the evening aprs-ski on the slopes is kicking at Olympia and Hennustall and later (as mentioned above), Papperla Pub to name just the bare essentials... our staff is always happy to take you on a pub crawl, but it may be a long one!
