Mountain Exposure confirms new designer chalet "the Heinz Julen Penthouse" will be available as of 1 December 2011 - photos not yet available. This stylish 8 bed penthouse is located above the much sought after Heinz Julen Loft - both chalets together can cater for up to 14 guests.

Mountain Exposure buoyant about the forthcoming season - Whilst most operators have cut capacity by up to 40 per cent, Mountain Exposure has been taking on new chalets. "We believe that the people who forewent their ski holiday last year are simply not prepared to make the same sacrifice this season, and this is backed up by the volume of bookings that are coming in," said MX Director Donald Scott.

Recessionistas return to the slopes - Winter 20009/2010 is really hotting up! Christmas and New Year are a sell-out and a couple the weeks before Christmas - traditionally a relatively quiet time - are almost full. It seems people have heard that snows have already fallen and are taking time out from their pursuit of green shoots to head for the slopes.

Over a metre of new snow in Zermatt meant perfect conditions this May Bank Holiday. The village was blanketed once more with snow and the slopes offered bottomless powder. Zermatt was one of the very few resorts with lifts still operating. Heli-skiing conditions were also excellent.
